Claire Kinchen{DPT & ART}
Dr. Claire Kinchen graduated from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss) with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science in 2009. She received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2011 from the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas. During her first two years of practice, she gained experience in all stages of the rehab process while working with patients with both orthopedic and neurological injuries.
Claire’s love for running and her success with various soft tissue techniques for treating her own injuries led her to becoming interested in sports related manual therapy. She is certified in Graston technique in which she uses stainless steel tools to manipulate tissue in order to resolve soft tissue adhesions. She is also full body certified in Active Release Techniques (ART), as well as certified in Functional Movement Systems (FMS).
Claire realized the value of teaching patients about posture and body awareness over the course of her practice. She now incorporates Pilates based exercise and education with patients in order to help them create better movement patterns for daily life. In her free time she enjoys: Pilates, cooking, playing with her dogs, reading, traveling, and spending time with her friends and family.
